Denmark — Preparing for the Trip

Before we could see the world, we had to leave Denmark. In 2015, we spent months preparing for an open-ended round-the-world trip with Noah (5) and Vitus (3). How do you rent out your house, quit your jobs, pack for four people, teach a 5-year-old English, and actually get on that first plane?
